What a great turn out this weekend at the Park City Bridal Expo! It was my first Expo Show but I will definitely be interested in doing more! I wasn't sure what to expect when I first signed up, I thought how am I gonna run a booth? I paired up with Perfect Tan in Park City and together we brainstormed to come up with a booth that was simple yet enough going on to keep people interested. Advertisement of all forms is a great way to build your business. Even if you are not sure who will call for an appointment, shop at your store, or buy your product, you are giving a face to your brand while getting your name out there. Having the opportunity to talk with the brides to let them know information about my business and what I offer was very beneficial.
The other vendors at the show were so great to work with! All so friendly, kind, and hard working. I absolutely love seeing a community full of local businesses come together and create such a fun environment. I had a blast chatting and having the opportunity to meet all sorts of new people. It was inspiring to find out what they do or how they started their businesses.
I had a client come up to the show and be a model for me, the brides were very happy to see a sample of my work! For my model, we decided to do a golden smokey eye and a bridal up-do with a braid pinned across the back. Braids are one of the most popular styles among brides right now! Makeup varies from bride to bride some, want it very natural while others want something a bit darker and dramatic. I tend to always apply fake lashes, I don't know what it is about extra lashes but the eyes just pop! It's best to do a consultation with your makeup artist to discuss ideas and do a test run!
Picking the right person to be your stylist on your wedding day is crucial! It's best to find someone who will listen to what you want, add ideas to yours, communicate with you, and is personable. Its a great idea to look at their previous work and see if it reflects the style you are going for. Photos are always a great help to show the hair style you want for your special day! It's best to do a run through with your updo or style as well, so there is clear communication and you both are on the same page.
